Thank you for visiting Poison Records. Our policy and program has changed since the website was down. Please read carefully:
Purpose: We help promote today's metal or hard rock garage bands.
Bands: We require bands to send us a demo tape/CD of at least three (3) songs. Quality does not matter as long as it is at least audible, better the quality though, the better the chance of being chosen.. There is no fee to the bands, but at anytime this may change. All bands will be alerted if this were to change.
Overview: Each month Poison Records releases what we call the "Best Poison" CD which contains around 10-12 bands with one song from each band that the band chooses. Bands pay nothing to be on this CD. These monthly CD's used to be free, but due to costs of keeping the website going and for CD burning, they will now be $3.00 including shipping and handling. Each month we then have those who bought the "Best Poison" CD vote for their favorite band on that month's CD. ONLY those who order the CD will be allowed to vote. The winning band gets their own full CD and will be sold on our website. Poison Records will not own the band or band name, there are no contracts unless the band would like to print one up and send it to us. We are only here to promote bands, not to own them. Every band only CD sold is split 50/50 between the band and Poison Records. Even though we are a non-profit organization, we still need funds to keep running. Each band sets their own price for their CD's.
Band CD's: If the band goes through Poison Records for their CD printing, these options are free:
-Front cover with artwork provided by band
-Label of choice on CD
-CD burning
Fee's apply to all other options.
